Education Outreach > Improv at Juvenile Detention
Wing-it Productions has provided weekly improv classes for the last four years to incarcerated youth at the King County
Juvenile Detention facility. These classes are offered to the facility for free, and are provided as part of a continued partnership with King
County Juvenile Detention. The weekly classes are taught by a trained and approved Jet City Improv teaching artist, who has been certified to
work inside the Detention facility with the student population.
The art of improv helps the students to build their communication skills, self-confidence and presentation abilities. The classes are a variety of fun games, all designed to teach through experiential learning the soft skills that help students succeed in life no matter what they do.
As these programs are provided at no charge to the facility, your donations make this program possible.
